WHO IS IT FOR?
Online tutoring is a way of meeting the needs of students who:
• Don't require regular lessons
• Are looking for a correspondence-type course
• Want tuition outside of normal working hours
• Can't travel to a tutor
• Are moving around the country or live in another country
WHAT IS ON-LINE TUITION?
It is used:
• It is a modern 'correspondence' course in which the student emails the tutor pieces of work (up to GCSE Mathematics and Science or Adult Basic Skills) for the tutor to help with and comment on.
• An email 'conversation' in which the student and tutor interchange questions and answers 'live'.
• You tell us what you want and we'll do our best to deliver it to you. Whether you want homework help on an occasional basis or on a regular helping basis we will be pleased to oblige. Please note, however, that we will not write students' coursework or projects, neither will we complete homework assignments.
• For copyright reasons we insist that the communication between students and tutors should not be 'published' or shown to others as online-tuition is not a means of sharing a lesson!
HOW TO START
Complete the booking form. On receipt of this, we will telephone you to discuss your requirements in detail, to assess the student's abilities and take payment for the first lesson. This process will take at least 30 minutes and the cost of this is covered by the reduction in time from 1 hour to 30 minutes for the first lesson only. No further administration charges will be applied. The fee for tuition is paid monthly in advance by standing order. Please note that we are unable to carry out tuition until the payment has been received
HOW TO STOP
Simple - just don't book further lessons. For quality assurance we may ask you to complete a feedback questionnaire.
